Red Ribbon Week 2016

Berrien Elementary celebrated Red Ribbon Week October 24-28. The first Red Ribbon week was proclaimed in 1988 by the U.S. Congress in support of Agent Enrique Camarena and the cause he gave his life for -combating drugs. BES acknowledges Red Ribbon Week in order to educate students on standing strong against something that will create harm for their future. Each student signed a pledge of commitment to a safe, healthy, and drug-free lifestyle. Students and staff did a great job participating in the activities. The activities included:

Monday- Nerd day (be smart don't start)

Tuesday- Crazy Sock day (Sock it to drugs)

Wednesday- Lei off drugs day (Each student and staff received a Lei)

Thursday -50's day (drugs are old school)

Friday- Team up against drugs (favorite team shirt)
